LAKSA SARAWAK

LAKSA SARAWAK.jpg

Laksa Sarawak is a well-known dish that can be found throughout the state of Bumi Kenyalang. It employs a particular paste made up of a range of unusual substances. The usage of coconut milk is necessary to make Sarawak laksa gravy. Because of the laksa paste, the resulting gravy is thick and reddish in colour. Boiled vermicelli is used in Laksa Sarawak, which is served with sliced omelette, shrimp, boiled chicken slices, bean sprouts, lime juice, and sambal belacan.

KEK LAPIS SARAWAK

Kek Lapis Sarawak is a treat that is also Sarawak's most popular cake. Sarawak's layer cake is distinct in that it features a wide range of patterns and flavours that are enticing. Many people, especially youngsters, enjoy the moist and not too dry texture of this cake. Sarawak offers a variety of layer cakes with unusual names such as belacan cake, holiday inn cake, moss cake, Cadbury cake, and many others. Layer cakes are a popular meal during Sarawak festivals and have become a staple in every home throughout the festive season.

KUIH SELOROT (COROT)

SELOROT.jpg

This selorot / corot cake is one of the Sarawak Malay community's traditional cakes. The cake cover is made of fresh nipah shoots. This cake is typically given as an appetiser at weddings and celebrations during Ramadan. Because of its delicate texture and sweetness, this cake is immensely popular with people from all walks of life.

Glutinous rice, apong sugar, and coconut milk are among the ingredients used to produce this cake. Apong sugar is used as a cake sweetener and has a unique flavour when used alone. Young nipah leaves are folded into a container that does not leak to make sarung kuih. This cake cover demands a high level of ability to ensure that it does not leak or become too small to accommodate the cake.

THE INFORMATION ABOUT MELAYU SARAWAK RACES ON TRADITIONAL LANGUAGE.

SARAWAK.png

Sarawak Malay is the spoken language of Sarawak Malays in their daily lives. In Sarawak, Sarawak Malay serves as a "Lingua franca," or a language that bridges the gap between races. Sarawak Malay and Standard Malay have certain similarities and differences. Intermarriage and the impact of other local races' languages (particularly the Iban and Bidayuh languages) as well as surrounding countries' languages cause this variance (Brunei Malay and Indonesian). The Sarawak Malay dialect in Miri, Limbang, and Lawas, for example, is heavily influenced by the Malay languages of Brunei and Sabah, whereas the Sarawak Malay dialect in the western part of the state, such as Kuching, Samarahan, Sri Aman, and Betong, is heavily influenced by the Malay languages of Brunei and Sabah.Sarawak Malay can be classified into two sorts of dialects, both of which are concentrated in western Borneo, namely the Kuching Dialect (covering the Malays in Kuching) and the Coastal Region Dialect or Sea Language (covering the Malays in Samarahan and Betong). The Kuching dialect, for example, uses the vowel 'a' at the end of several words, while the Coastal Region dialect uses the vowel 'o'. In most sections of Sarawak, the Kuching dialect is the predominant dialect.

BELOW IS THE EXAMPLE HOW THEY SPEAK.
