SARAWAK
FAMOUS CULTURE PLACE IN SARAWAK
BAKO NATIONAL PARK

This location serves as an introduction to Borneo's rainforest and acts as a natural cocoon for us. Natural vegetation covers this area, which includes extensive forests, numerous animals and birds, hiking paths, beautiful beaches, and abundant fauna. Borneo is home to a number of rare species, including the long-nosed proboscis monkey. One of Borneo's most well-known parks, located just 37 kilometres from Kuching. This park, located near the point of the Muara Tebas peninsula, is Sarawak's oldest and smallest park. Despite having only 2,742 hectares, this location boasts the most unique vegetation of any location in Sarawak. It is Sarawak's oldest national park, having been established in 1957.
MOUNT SANTUBONG

Santubong is a wonderful place to unwind and relax away from the rush and bustle of city life. Sarawak traditional hamlet is the primary attraction of Mount Santubong. Trekking and river cruises are two of the many activities available on this mountain. A river cruise is a popular activity that provides intimate views of mangroves and wildlife. While boating down the Salak River, keep an eye out for fireflies and Proboscis monkeys.
SARAWAK NATURAL HISTORY MUSEUM.

The Sarawak Museum began as a personal effort for Alfred Wallace, a well-known British naturalist. Wallace wanted to acquire wildlife specimens from Borneo Island's largely unknown territories. The museum now houses a number of stunning specimens of Victorian architecture as well as dozens of exquisite objects found locally. It also exhibits ethnographic relics from indigenous peoples who once lived in Sarawak, as well as rare taxidermy and human skulls.
SARAWAK CULTURAL VILLAGE

This is one of Malaysia's most famous tourist attractions, as it is a living museum that depicts the country's history and heritage. This location is ornamented with nine accurate model buildings that represent Sarawak's various ethnic groups. Apart from exploring the cultural village, there are other attractions such as watching a multi-cultural dance performance at the village theatre. The Sarawak cultural village is ideal for those interested in learning more about Malaysian culture.
